Art is powerful and an important part of child development, an avenue with which they can learn and express themselves. For children, art can range from finger painting, playing play dough, drawing, coloring, to stringing beads and building something using blocks. Art provides a multitude of benefits for our young learners. It sparks imagination, creativity, improves fine motor skills, problem solving skills, spatial awareness and can become an emotional outlet for many children. It can give them a way to express the feelings they may be having even when they have not fully developed the vocabulary to communicate those emotions.  Art blends cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development while being fun for children. You can introduce math concepts, science as well as collaborative play and sharing all while creating artwork. So go ahead and hand over some art supplies to your little learner , support their growth, and let them create beautiful creations.
